Long Island University classes are held in-person for the fall 2022 semester. It is expected that students participate in classes on-campus.

Students who cannot return to campus due to a documented COVID-19 impact can submit a request for a remote learning accommodation. Requests are considered by an Accommodations Committee. Please note: a remote learning accommodation must be requested no later than Friday, September 9, 2022 and are not automatically granted. The Committee will review the application and supporting material to determine if an accommodation is granted.

Any student who intends to be on-campus throughout the semester to participate in a class, lab, student life activity, or to reside on-campus, is not eligible for a remote learning accommodation unless approved through Disability Support Services. Clinical placements and student teaching are always held in-person unless otherwise defined by the placement site.

If granted a remote learning accommodation, students must commit to actively participating in class remotely, including, having their camera on, participating in class discussion, and completing all assignments and exams in accordance with the syllabus. In addition, students may not have other work, travel or personal responsibilities that conflict with class time.
